Unique Wedding Invitations - Set Yourself Apart From The Crowd

When it comes to creating wedding invitations some people really like to go all out and create some extremely unique ones. There are two ways in which your wedding invitations can be unique, the first is you can choose to be humorous or you can elect to be incredibly creative. Your standard wedding invitation usually consists of the actual invitation, the response card, and the return envelope for your invitee to send back their response. The invitations may have a particular wedding theme or could be very personalized ones.

I can give a great example of a unique wedding invitation designed by a couple of my friends. This particular couple had a weekend break and visited family in New England in the fall. It was there among the trees and the beautiful background the guy finally popped the question. Neither of them said anything about what they were going to do for their wedding invitations, but a few months later I received one of the most unique wedding invitations I had ever seen in my life.

During their trip to New England they had collected some fallen leaves and they used these leaves in their wedding invitation design. The invitation had a huge colorful leaf in the middle and the words were printed over it.

It Is All About The Two Of You

Another creative Wedding Invitation I recently saw was from a couple who were huge movie goers. Their idea for a unique wedding invitation was to design one that looked just like a movie poster and the reply card looked just like a big theater ticket. This was a particularly creative idea and certainly captured the attention of all the invitees.

These are some examples how you can turn your ideas into fantastically creative wedding invitations. If you and your partner work together to come up with an interesting concept you can put together a theme that you can use in designing your own truly unique wedding invitation.

Just a word of warning not all unique wedding invitation ideas are appropriate, particularly if you are trying to be humorous. A top example of where an attempt at humor failed miserably was the couple who sent out what appeared to be a normal invitation but when you got to the response card it not only asked you to RSVP for the ceremony and the reception but it also asked you to RSVP for the two future divorce parties as well. This particular wedding invitation offended a good many of the invitees who showed their displeasure by refusing to attend the couples wedding.

So if you are planning to get married and want unique and creative wedding invitations spend some time thinking about a theme but be careful not to offend your invitees as you want all your friends and family to attend your big day.
