Weddings take place all year long of course - and most need flower girl dresses. The majority of weddings are in the Spring and Summer months; it makes sense - life is in bloom and so is love!

What styles are “in” for flower girl dresses this season?

Here are some typical choices for flower girl dresses:

Order them with the bride’s maids dresses at the same time;

- Shop from store to store for weeks and likely dragging them (and their parents) with you before the wedding but long after the bride’s maids dresses have come;

- Wait until the last possible minute, panic and have to settle for whatever is available;

- Shop conveniently on line then send a message to each family telling them which style and color to order and that they need to get them ordered now;

- Shop on line early, get them delivered in plenty of time and check it off your list of “To Dos”!

What flower girl dress styles are available?

- The #1 hot choice this season is the A-line dress. It is a figure-flattering style that looks good on almost shape including plus-sized girls.

The ballgown. This is a fitted bodice to the natural waistline and a full, gathered skirt below with the “Cinderella” silhouette. It is always elegant and tasteful for little ones! Older girls, unfortunately, may balk at wearing this style complaining that it is “babyish” though they may love it again when they are older. It is also not the best style for extra-fluffy girls.

- The ballgown - which often has a “pick up skirt” to reflect this popular trend in bridal gowns. With or without the pick up effect, this dress has a fitted bodice and full, frothy skirt similar to “Cinderella”.
